How would you respond to someone saying hardcore is childish?

Laugh.

For two reasons: The first being that, in all probability, a party with the audacity to make such a statement lacks the experience or knowledge to place judgment (in this instance, she proved my prediction right). The second being, I just don't give a fuck if other people think hardcore is childish. Why would I? Clearly, it's not for them. And my participation in any subculture is not an attempt to bag anyone's approval. Thanks.
